Meet Lactation Expert Sarah Purcell

Sarah Purcell is a dedicated pediatric dietitian and feeding expert who brings her passion and expertise to Bloom U. She leads the highly sought-after Breastfeeding 101 class, guiding new parents through the essentials of successful breastfeeding, from proper latch techniques to navigating common challenges.

Sarah also facilitates the Milk Chat Peer-to-Peer Workshop, a supportive space where parents connect, share experiences, and gain practical insights into feeding their babies.

With her compassionate approach and evidence-based knowledge, Sarah empowers parents to feel confident and supported in their breastfeeding and feeding journeys.Sarah Purcell was born and raised in Southeast Michigan. She attended Eastern Michigan University for her undergraduate and graduate degree, earning her Master of Science in Dietetics and Human Nutrition in 2016.

Prior to joining Bloom Pediatrics, Sarah spent 7 years as a dietitian and breastfeeding specialist for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) supplemental nutrition program.
