Event Type

Becoming a parent transforms us in numerous ways – biologically, socially and emotionally. This profound change impacts every facet of our lives, including our relationships with our partners, perhaps our own parents, and most importantly, the relationship we have with ourselves. The transition to parenthood, coupled with societal pressures, often brings unrealistic expectations, which can lead to symptoms of anxiety, depression, unwanted thoughts and more. This reality is seldom discussed, leaving many feelings isolated. But you are not alone. Let’s talk about the stuff no one talks about! In this session, we will learn ways to improve (or start!) communicating with each other and ourselves, and we will discuss practical techniques to reduce feelings of anxiety, overwhelm, anger and depression.
