Understanding & Managing the Impact of Social Media on Youth Mental Health

*A Class for Parents

The pervasiveness of mobile tech and app use among children and teens has ignited concerns about social media’s effects on youth mental health. As rates of anxiety and depression continue to climb, what can we do as parents to protect our kids as they begin to use social media? This workshop will discuss how and why social media affects youth mental health, as well as introduce ways we can help our kids and teens develop positive boundaries with technology and mental resilience. This workshop will provide you with concrete tools to implement in your home to combat negative effects of social media and support your child’s emotional wellness.
