In this class, parents will learn how to foster a positive and balanced approach to health and nutrition in their children without resorting to diet culture. The session will explore the harmful effects of diet-centric language and beliefs and focus on practical strategies to promote a healthy relationship with food, focusing on nourishment and body neutrality. Parents will leave confident in guiding their children toward lifelong healthy habits rooted in self-respect and well-being rather than restrictive diets and societal pressures.

Dr. Zeena Al-Rufaie is a Board Certified Pediatrician who graduated medical school from the University of Tennessee and completed residency from Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
