Body Basics for Girls
*For Girls Ages 8 and Up
*A Parent or adult is required to attend.
Maybe they’ll learn a bit in school, but they might not have the time or reach the comfort level required to ask the questions they really want to ask. Turning Teen gives girls answers in a safe, friendly environment. What they’ll learn: Introduction to your body and it’s parts, how boys and girls are different, what puberty does to our bodies and brains, rules about respect for your body and others’ bodies, introduction to periods.
Dr. Carrie Leff, founder of Turning Teen, practices internal medicine and pediatrics in Michigan.
